南台灣 Southern Taiwan

Ok, I’m a little behind on updating. However, since I am done traveling for a bit and I have fully recovered from my jet lag, I guess I should get this back up to speed.

As usual during my travels around the Taiwan I gave most of the Southwest part of the island a miss. So I still have yet to try the local specialties of that part of the island. However, also as usual, I did end up in 屏東 Pingtung for a bit. I think the town has a lot of potential. Old buildings, park spaces, and an unusual layout (which always gets me lost. Pingtung  is pure southern Taiwan, a little gritty, sort of old, a bit rough around the edges. A place where more people seem to drive the wrong way down a one way street than they do the right way. It is, in short, a world apart from Taipei
